  Welcome meeting
There will only be one meeting during the camp. Do try to arrive in time to join us; we will give you information about the amenities available on site, update the timetable and let you know where to get more information if you need it, but formal proceedings will be kept to an absolute minimum!

Practical Herbs  with Anna Franklin

Anna is a renowned local author and will be talking to us about the practical and day-to-day uses of herbs and plants in our locality.

Stav with Graham Butcher

Graham is the author of several books and has many years experience of teaching Stav, a Nordic martial art which grows out of the interpretation of runes. Learn the health benefits of the system and much more. More details to follow.

Bush Craft

Alex fell-bowers -  has been studying the arts of survival for over thirty years and will deliver a basic talk on the outline of the system that is taught based around a bindrune, this is a system of teaching used in stav. also there will be a talk on the basic elements of tracking animals and the related field craft (mainly for observation). 

this is a more in depth section from the above mention bindrune. i also have over thirty years experience in the martial arts.

Dowsing

An early workshop for fresh arrivals to get you into the mood for the weekend. More details to follow

Camp fire circle

Gather together around your fire, or the communal fire at the market place. Yes, open fires are allowed at this camp. Join in the singing and maybe bring a drum.

 Copper smithing with Nick

Take something home as a memento of your weekend at Rural Craft Camp! Nick will show you how to fashion a small item such as a copper bangle, working the metal fresh from the forge. Small charge made for materials.

 Basket weaving with Maggie Cooper

Maggie is an accomplished wicker worker, and we are pleased to be able to welcome her to Craft Camp. By special request, she will be instructing on how to create your own wicker basket,  More details to follow. A small charge applies for materials.

Hurdle Making

Later in the weekend, the construction of hurdles and frames for use within the garden.

 Spear throwing with Don & Robyn

Tuition in the sport of spear throwing with the possibility of a competition. Don and Robyn have many years’ experience of teaching spear throwing and all participants have lived to tell the tale!  Minimum age 16+

 Felt making with Sue

Sue is an accomplished seamstress and is going to lead classes in the art of felt making this weekend. More details to follow.

 Pottery

Still to be confirmed, but we hope to be making air dried pots, and perhaps decorating with Raku, a stunning glaze.

 Hedgerow brewing

A talk on the use of everyday plants, flowers and berries in the use of brewing. Details to follow.

Fire Display with Alex 

Learn to flow with the hypnotic patterns of Poi in the afternoon. Then watch Alex lead a fire dispay in the evening that is stunning in its elegance.

Owl display with Robyn

An owl from a nearby stately home and we are pleased that she is able to join us this weekend. Details to follow

 Steel hooks and hangers with Wayne

Fashion your own S hooks and hangers for use at your camp fire!

  T'ai Chi with Jules

Learn a short training form in the Wandering Dragon style. We will also practice some Chi Gung and a little partner work.

 Agent La La and Themed disco = Feather and Black

Come and dance the Friday evening away with Agent LaLa an accomplished festival fun rock band great covers and own music. Have a great time with a flash of Feather and Black what ever you can dream up.
