RCC is about getting back to basics, while having fun with modern recyclable and reusable materials, and the fruits of the earth.

This Years Rural Craft Camp 5th to 8th July 2012

Great line-up coming together.

We have confirmed: 

The amazing Kate & Corwen are coming for the 2nd great year.

They will be performing on the Saturday night and  running Blowing Horn making workshops.

The wonderful Agent La La will be doing a full on set on Friday to bounce round to. Agent La La and lots more great sounds for the evening.

Basket  weaving mainia with Maggie Cooper, great lady teaches at all level and skills.

Dave the Flute is coming with wonderful sounds and will be doing classes to make your own flutes to take away.

Camp is coming together nicely, a facinating set of workshops are blossoming with the willows of spring together, will start to putting the timetable up in the next month.

We have have sorted another marquee this year, so will have a cafe music area in the main square this year, that should form a great craft mash area, and chill sound from the open mic.

Starting to get the photographs from the camp 2011 sorted. Have met a lot of people that have enjoyed the camp last year and many are already booked to come this year. We have lots of interesting workshops are starting to be offered. We will start adding to the new timetable in a couple of weeks. If anyone has workshops to offer please contact us.

 

Thank you everyone for such a great camp. It was a real tribal vib, with a great community spirit. So many things to do and great workshops, a big thank you to all the facilitators and work shop leaders you are all amazing.

Rural Craft Camp is held on a working Willow farm. We are planting, harvesting and evolving the site all the time. It is a beautiful location, with a wonderful feel to it.

But it is not just about making things, but fun and enjoyment shearing: song, music and dance. Creating art, sound and laughter to feed our souls.

 We are currently: building a 60ft willow maze which is fascinating; laying out new walk paths, structuring a bird hide, and coppicing trees for replanting and future growth at our open days.
